The sides of the bed are made by splitting a live-edge slab in the middle. The headboard is also a live-edge slab cut to shape and suspended between the back legs of the bed.
The support structure is stained to a dark colour to give an illusion that the headboard is floating, and to draw all attention to itself.
Made of White Oak, and finished with multiple coats of hard-wax oil, and buffed with furniture wax.
